Susan Knotter (Walton)

I remember Charlie fondly, particularly from the last few reunions.  He was always behind a camera, always cordial and a wonderful conversationalist. In a small group, he shared stories from his radio experiences in Vietnam, and George Gill emphasized his own reliance, as a forward observer, on his own radio man, while serving in the Marines in Vietnam.

I am sorry that Covid took him from us.  He was a lovely, gentle man.

Emily Albrink (Hartigan)

We were philosophy majors together, and he took photos for me as editor of the 1967 yearbook, and we were friends.

He may have been the best interlocutur from a very different political [and philosophical] perspective that I had in college [and beyond], which was one of the great gifts of Swarthmore. RIP.
